Message from the Principal

pg stars principal

I believe that all students can achieve success at high levels. This may look different for each child, and the route to get there is unique but through collaboration between home and school this goal is achievable. We are committed to providing a nurturing, challenging learning environment and your active participation in your child’s education plays a vital role.

Here are a few tips to help your child achieve their full potential:

  • Cultivate independence: model a skill and give visual support as needed, but allow your child to try and succeed in various tasks around the house.
  • Establish consistent routines: Designate certain routines and give your child a role within those routines so they feel like a contributing member of the family to the extent, and grow those roles with them.
  • Encourage relationship building: Meet your child where they’re. This might look like reading, playing, interacting with and showing interest in the things your child is interested in while also exposing them to new opportunities to get your child to the next steps in the social skills realm.
  • Celebrate effort and progress: Focus on your child's hard work and improvement, rather than comparing to others rate of growth or accomplishments.
  • Communicate with the teacher: Use ParentSquare to stay in regular contact with your child's teacher to discuss their progress, address any concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support their learning.

We believe that by working together, we can create a strong foundation for your child's growth and success. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher or the school office if you have any questions or need additional support.

Warm regards,
Principal Aubrey
